Cowboys don’t have ‘bad games’ Dallas Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy disagrees with owner Jerry Jones’ perception of why the team is struggling this season.
“The kind of thing we all think we have to look at is that we design bad games, or we design bad concepts,” Jones said Tuesday during his weekly radio appearance, according to Team Tommy Yarrish. “The facts are that there are many, but there are also some executions.”
“I talk to Jerry all the time. We had time to do the self-evaluation. I didn’t see the comments in particular,” McCarthy said.
But I don’t think we have bad concepts and bad games. But I’ll go back and check.”
Jones said some of the team’s problems stem from the confidence of younger players, who tend to make more mistakes than their veteran counterparts.
But McCarthy, who is in the final year of his contract, takes charge. “We are not where we want to be. It is clear, and this is ultimately my responsibility and I am fully aware of this.
We are very diligent. “We’re on top of what we want to do,” he said.
