Blooming Branch, Georgia — The Atlanta Falcons concluded their practice week on Friday, and their final injury report offers the most comprehensive look to date at which players may be sidelined for Sunday’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium game against the Dallas Cowboys.
The Falcons became healthier as the week went on, despite starting the week with eight players either limited or kept out due to injuries. On Friday, Atlanta still had eight players labelled as limited or non-participants, but five of them were named so due to rest days rather than illnesses. These three players were rookie defensive lineman Ruke Orhorhoro, rookie linebacker JD Bertrand, and safety Justin Simmons, who missed his second limited session because of a hamstring ailment. As a result of their separate ankle injuries and concussions, the two rookies have been formally ruled out for Sunday.
Simmons is expected to play against Dallas because he has no game designation. However, linebacker Troy Andersen, guard Chris Lindstrom, and centre Drew Dalman are all classified as questionable for the match. On Friday, all three players participated fully, which is encouraging.
