Gretsch has continued its signature guitar hot streak by teaming up with Depeche Mode’s Martin Gore for the Anniversary Centre Block electric guitar.
Gretsch has partnered with Depeche Mode’s Martin Gore to create a new Anniversary Centre Block electric guitar. This collaboration brings Gore’s unique style to the celebrated Gretsch lineup, combining signature features with modern updates to appeal to both fans of the band and guitar enthusiasts.
The model includes elements tailored to Gore’s sound and performance style, making it a special addition to Gretsch’s recent successful series of signature guitars.
Gore has influenced the very nature of electronic music as a co-founder of the legendary UK group. Since the 1980s, he has contributed to the composition of blockbusters like “Enjoy the Silence,” “People Are People,” “Everything Counts,” and several more.
Gore has cultivated a close relationship with Gretsch guitars throughout the course of his career; in fact, he has played a couple unique custom versions. In recognition of this relationship, Gore has been given his own signature model.
Gore’s model, in contrast to several of the company’s more unconventional products this year, pays homage to Gretsch’s rockabilly and rock ‘n’ roll heritage by enhancing its iconic Double Anniversary semi-hollow single-cut design. More significantly, Gore’s own unique custom guitar served as the inspiration for this particular model.
“Eventually, me and my guitar tech went down to the Fender and Gretsch custom shop. We met with the team, who talked us through the process. I was very impressed with what they were planning to do.
