Dallas Mavericks Superstar Forward Kyrie Irving asks to be Excused from next Game
DALLAS _ Dallas Mavericks’ star player Kyrie Irving will be absent for the first time this season on Friday against the Memphis Grizzlies due to personal reasons.
Doncic, along with guard Dante Exum, won’t be playing due to personal reasons, according to the NBA injury report. Doncic, who’s 24 years old, ranks third in scoring in the NBA with 31.1 points per game, and he also averages 8.1 rebounds and 7.9 assists.
The Mavericks have begun the season strongly at 11-6 with Irving and eight-time All-Star Doncic teaming up from the outset for the first time. Irving is scoring an average of 24.6 points per game.
So, both Doncic and Irving faced injury challenges since Irving joined Brooklyn in a significant trade last February. Doncic experienced calf and thumb injuries this season, while Irving sat out three games due to a foot problem.
