The Pittsburgh Steelers are expected to make significant offensive personnel changes.
It is imperative that the Pittsburgh Steelers alter their offensive strategy before facing the Cincinnati Bengals. Head coach Mike Tomlin made it clear on Tuesday that there will be some schematic tweaks.
One important change will be personnel packages and substitutions rather than schematics in the red zone or in short yardage scenarios. Arthur Smith, a third-and-three offensive coordinator, had the Steelers in 13 players on one play against the Browns (3 TE, 1 WR, 1 RB).
However, the players on the field were Darnell Washington, MyCole Pruitt, Pat Freiermuth, Ben Skowronek, and Jaylen Warren. That is not winning football, and Smith made it clear that will change on Sunday.
