Unexpected News: The Knicks calls Attention, Wants Joel Embiid Penalized for..

New York Knicks react to Joel Embiid’s fouls

In Game 3 of the NBA playoffs series between the New York Knicks and Philadelphia 76ers, Joel Embiid had some excessive contact against Knicks players, which they and the team head coach spoke out against.

NBA playoffs continue with their high intensity as the New York Knicks and Philadelphia 76ers squared off in Game 3, which went the 76ers’ way with a score of 125-114.

The game saw Joel Embiid, Philadelphia’s superstar center, commit some questionable contacts against Knicks players, such as the flagrant 1 foul against Mitchell Robinson and a no-call against Isaiah Hartenstein.

To elaborate, Embiid pulled on Robinson’s leg and caused him to fall to the ground while he overextended his leg toward Hartenstein’s groin.

“IT is not a basketball play,” Hartenstein said of Embiid’s foul against Robinson in a post-game interview, stating that a flagrant 2 foul should have been called against the American-Cameroonian center.

Donte DiVincenzo joined Hartenstein’s statement: “It was dirty.”

“Happy Mitch didn’t get a serious injury on that… I’m all for tough fouls, tough playoff fouls, but that’s something that can put a guy out for a significant amount of time,” Josh Hart also chipped in. “He could get seriously hurt.”

Tom Thibodeau, the head coach of the Knicks, also weighed in.

“Which one? The one they called, or the one they didn’t call?” the coach said, also recalling the contact on Hartenstein. “Just want to make sure we have clarity on that. What did they have, 33 free throws?”

The series is currently 2-1 in favor of the New York Knicks. Game 4 will be played on April 28.
