Myles Garrett Engages in a Chat with Aidan Hutchinson and Jared Goff of the Lions

Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett’s formal trade request has become a major talking point across the NFL as the Super Bowl approaches.

The Detroit Lions seem like a strong match for the dynamic EDGE rusher, as their defensive line continues to search for someone capable of consistently sacking quarterbacks besides Aidan Hutchinson.

A photo of Hutchinson and Jared Goff talking to the Browns defensive lineman at the NFL Honors awards show in New Orleans has gone viral.

Lions fans have shown excitement and hope that their two team captains are attempting to recruit the 29-year-old to Detroit.

Garrett shared this week that his decision to seek a trade isn’t driven by personal milestones or achievements. The Browns EDGE rusher wants to join a contending NFL team before his illustrious career ends.

“It’s never been about the Hall of Fame for me,” Garrett told Rich Eisen earlier this week. “It’s not about money or records. You’re remembered for winning, for bringing a trophy back to your city, wherever that may be.

That’s how people remember you, your community, your peers, your teammates, and friends. We play to win and to be remembered.”

In an interview with the Free Press on the NFL Honors red carpet, the former No. 2 pick was asked if the Lions would be interested in trading for Garrett.

“Everyone’s asking me about that. I don’t know,” Hutchinson said. “I don’t think — you can’t have that many dudes on one D-line, I don’t know. Who knows, but I think it’s very unlikely.”
