Unexpected News: Philadelphia Eagles Rookie Calls Out Caitlin Clark for…

Philadelphia Eagles Rookie Gets Into Surprising Disagreement With #22 Caitlin Clark – Gridiron Heroics

Philadelphia Eagles’ newcomer cornerback, Cooper DeJean, appeared on FanDuel TV’s Up & Adams Show, where Kay Adams interviewed him regarding Indiana Fever sensation Caitlin Clark.

Clark, who was selected as the top pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft by the Indiana Fever, has already made an impact with her jersey sales and lucrative endorsement deals.

She helped Iowa get in back-to-back National Title games in women’s college basketball, but they lost to the LSU Tigers in 2023 and the South Carolina Gamecocks in 2024.

Last season with the Hawkeyes, she played in 39 games and averaged 31.6 PPG, 7.4 RPG, and 8.9 APG. She shot 45.5 percent from the field and 37.8 percent from three-point land.

However, DeJean made viral comments about her by saying that he could:

“beat [Caitlin Clark] one-on-one.”

That was a very interesting remark by Cooper DeJean. He was the 40th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft by the Philadelphia Eagles out of Iowa.

DeJean could have very well been a first-round selection in the 2024 NFL Draft but he was not. His college football season was cut short due to injury and was cleared last month to resume football activities before the 2024 NFL Draft.

Kay Adams Asked Philadelphia Eagles Defensive Back Cooper DeJean About His Comments Towards Caitlin Clark

DeJean confirmed on Adams’s Show about the comments he made towards her and they both went to the same college. Cooper DeJean said:

“Obviously Caitlin’s a special player, she’s done so much for women’s basketball and the University of Iowa in general.”

They both text each other and he also reveals on the Kay Adams Show that she texted him back by saying:

“She doesn’t think that I could beat her.”

That goes to show how confident she is in beating him in a 1-on-1 matchup if they were to do it. It would be interesting to see if he and Clark would ever play each other 1-on-1.

A lot of people would be interested to see if a male who is not in the NBA would be able to beat a player who is currently playing in the WNBA in a 1-on-1 matchup.

No matter how you slice it, Caitlin Clark has changed the game of women’s basketball; for the better with all of the eye views that she brought to the table and a lot of people are thankful for her for that. Meanwhile, DeJean is looking to improve the Eagles’ secondary in his first NFL season also.
