Although there are other quarterbacks nearby, such as Dak Prescott, Tua Tagovailoa of Miami, and Trevor Lawrence of Jacksonville, Goff and the Lions appear to be the closest.
Although they maintain that there is nothing imminent at this time, they assert that they have been discussing it and that the Lions are dedicated to maintaining their core group.
Goff might be the next player to sign a four-year contract after Amon-Ra St. Brown kept him on a lucrative four-year deal, as did right tackle Penei Sewell. However, the market is rather obvious. For many of these quarterbacks, annual salaries of above $50 million are possible. We shall find out how far the Lions are prepared to go.
