Ipswich Town have reportedly accepted a €22.5 million agreement with Bayer Leverkusen for the signing of Argentina midfielder Exequiel Palacios, in what could become one of the club’s biggest moves of the transfer window.
Palacios is understood to be travelling to complete his medical, with the final formalities expected to follow if he successfully passes the tests.
The 27-year-old midfielder has established himself at the highest level during his time with Bayer Leverkusen and has also represented Argentina on the international stage. His experience, technical quality and ability to control the midfield could make him an important addition for Ipswich.
