Sevilla are eyeing Liverpool star Stefan Bajcetic ahead of the 2024 summer transfer window
Stefan Bajcetic is quickly emerging as a dominant midfielder at Liverpool under Jurgen Klopp and it’s no surprise that the likes of Sevilla are keeping an eye on the youngster.
Bajcetic, who signed from Celta Vigo in 2020, initially spent some time in the Reds’ youth ranks before Klopp gave him his big break in the 9-0 thrashing of Bournemouth at Anfield on 27 August 2022. He later moved on and seems to fit perfectly with the German’s system on Merseyside. Although injuries brought his breakout season to a premature end, Bajcetic is still only 18 years old and has the best years of his career ahead of him. Given what we’ve seen of him in red so far, there’s little reason to assume he won’t develop into a star in the coming years. Liverpool midfielder Stefan Bajcetic could make it to Spain’s senior squad in the near future. Klopp is a fan of Bajcetic and it shows the faith he has shown in the teenager so far. Bajcetic already has a lot of football knowledge and will only benefit from his partnership with Thiago Alcantara. The Spaniard took his wing and the effect of the right steering can be seen. – The mix of Serbia and Spain is good for his football. He is an intelligent boy. Interestingly, his father and Thiago’s father play together. Thiago took him under his wing. An absolute joy.”Bajcetic, who is currently recovering from injury, should get several chances to impress this season. If what we’ve seen so far is anything to go by, the Reds have a potentially world-class player on their hands. Liverpool are rebuilding themselves and it makes no sense for them to sell a top talent like Bajcetic. Not only does he provide the Reds with a solid midfield position for the future, but he will also get plenty of opportunities to play regularly at Anfield under a manager who trusts him. Sevilla has no reason to be optimistic in the current situation.
