“Inside George Kittle’s Decision: How Claire Kittle Influenced His Role in Netflix’s ‘Receiver’ Series”.

How Claire, Kittle’s spouse, persuaded him to star in the Netflix series “Receiver”

renowned 49ers tight end George Kittle is a man full of superstitions. Thus, the All-Pro didn’t want any distractions when Netflix called to ask him to be a part of the next “Receiver” series when he was pursuing a Super Bowl triumph with San Francisco in the 2023 NFL season. Kittle recently stated, “At first, I was a hard, hard no,” in an interview for the podcast “Bussin’ With The Boys”. “I was thinking, no way, I’m not doing this. It seemed strange, but I have complete faith in the Football Gods.”

About ten days before to the 2023 season starting, Kittle disclosed that Netflix had reached out to him about participating in the documentary series, which tracks players both on and off the field. Furthermore, Kittle gave the season a shot despite having never watched “Quarterback,” the show’s precursor, and came away impressed.

Even yet, he wasn’t quite persuaded until his wife Claire Kittle helped him see the possibility in a different light. Kittle remarked, “My wife Claire persuaded me to do it.” “She said, ‘Just consider that you can watch it again and show your kids this stuff in ten years.'” And I thought, “What the heck? That makes a really strong selling point. “So we agreed to it, and it was really fun.”

On July 10, the streaming platform will launch a sports series that centers on Kittle, his 49ers teammate Deebo Samuel, and other NFL receivers Justin Jefferson, Amon-Ra St. Brown, and Davante Adams. Kittle was even more at ease with the whole situation because Omaha Productions, led by Peyton Manning, is producing the series.

Between time spent filming at practices, games, and even at home, Kittle and the other stars were free to leave out whatever they didn’t want to appear in the series. Having seen “Quarterback,” Kittle felt confident he was in capable hands.

“But I’d never watched ‘Quarterback,’ so I finally went and watched it and thought they did a fantastic job at showing enough, and it also gives you an inside look to the players,” Kittle stated. “How about the exposure it brought Kirk Cousins? Kirk was more than simply a guy; he’s a great guy with a great sense of humor and a strong family bond. Is it true that everyone fell in love with him? I felt it was cool because it would just reveal your family’s background and giving you an inside look at your life.

Kittle observed that it was made even easier by Samuel filming the show concurrently with him. Even though the 49ers faithful are aware that San Francisco suffered heartbreak at the conclusion of the 2023 season, the show will undoubtedly be enjoyable with the two fan favorites up front. “The way they intertwine me and Deebo’s story is really cool,” Kittle stated. “A significant amount of 49ers video is included. It’s a lot of fun. Really, I have no grievances with it.”
