During his 17 games with Memphis, Goodwin made the most of his time, averaging career-highs of 10.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 1.5 steals per game. His standout performance came against the Lakers, where he posted an impressive 23 points and 17 rebounds, showcasing his ability to impact the game on multiple fronts.

Now, as Goodwin joins the Lakers under first-year head coach JJ Redick, the team is entering a new era. Redick replaces Darvin Ham, who led the Lakers to a 47-35 record the previous season.
