Rookie Receiver Ricky Pearsall Back at 49ers Facility After Shooting Incident

Five days after being shot in the chest during an attempted robbery, rookie receiver Ricky Pearsall of the San Francisco 49ers watched practice.

Following the shooting in central San Francisco on Saturday, Pearsall was hit in the chest and had to stay overnight in the hospital.

On Sunday, he left the hospital and returned on Monday to the team facility.

Pearsall was observed talking with reporters while strolling across the field with a football early in practice. Coach Kyle Shanahan remarked, “Just watching him has been kind of amazing.”

“For him to be able to move around and things like that happening, he spoke to people at the emergency room and they said that two people out of about 100 people made it out alive.”

Seeing him the following day and learning that he can walk and attends meetings is encouraging.

Pearsall will miss at least four weeks of action due to his placement on the non-football injury list by the 49ers.

This will allow him to fully heal from the incident, both mentally and physically.

According to Shanahan, Pearsall intends to wait a week or so before beginning his rehabilitation to return to the field.

Just after 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Pearsall was alone in the Union Square neighborhood with his shopping bags when a 17-year-old suspect attempted to rob him with a revolver.

On Wednesday, the suspect appeared in juvenile court and was charged with attempted murder.

Police arrived swiftly, provided emergency medical attention, and took the suspect into custody. Pearsall was assisted into an ambulance while wearing a big wound on his chest, as shown on witness footage.

Pearsall was fortunate that the bullet did not strike any organs or nerves as it went through his body. Written by Christopher Kamila I’m an accomplished content writer with a focus on WordPress.
