Wu Yize stormed into the English Open final with an emphatic 6-0 victory over Ishpreet Singh Chadha at the Brentwood Centre.
Chinese player Wu impressed as he eliminated defending champion Judd Trump in the quarter-finals, and it was more of the same from the world No. 40 in the last four.
He won the opening frame relatively comfortably, but the second was a far closer affair as Singh Chadha looked to gain a foothold in the match.
The pair were neck and neck until Wu built up a 28-point lead to leave Singh Chadha needing a snooker to rescue the frame.
It was not to be, as Singh Chadha conceded and Wu took a 2-0 lead in the match.
Wu showed signs of frailty with a poor miss on a simple red in the third but Singh Chadha failed to capitalise, and Wu did not make the same mistake twice, edging the frame to extend his lead.
Things went from bad to worse for Singh Chadha in the fourth frame as he missed a routine shot on the brown before gifting Wu a 4-0 lead at the interval.
Singh Chadha reached the semi-finals with a superb victory over Mark Selby, and he looked good in the fifth frame until missing a black.
Wu proceeded to escape a tricky snooker, fluking it into the right middle, before going on and winning the frame.
With the semi-final seemingly slipping through his fingers, Singh Chadha produced a break of 36 to keep his slim hopes alive.
However, Wu was clinical in his final visit to the table, replying with a break of 73 to book his place in the final.
Neil Robertson and Chris Wakelin will do battle in the second semi-final later on Saturday.
