Mauricio Pochettino just has to give the “very talented” player his first Chelsea start on Sunday.
Chelsea star Cole Palmer must be at the forefront of Mauricio Pochettino’s thinking this Sunday. The Premier League returns after the international break this weekend as Chelsea travel to Bournemouth on Sunday afternoon for a 2pm kick-off. The Blues boss was certainly impressed by the display of Cole Palmer for England Under-21s, who scored and assisted in the win against Luxembourg. We think Pochettino just needs to pick Palmer to start against Bournemouth. Despite dominating the Premier League for long stretches of their first four games, Chelsea have just four points so far. The same problems in front of goal continue as only five goals have been scored in four matches. However, we’re pretty sure that if Palmer is selected, he could pose a real threat to the lineup.
The attacking midfielder made his debut for the Blues in just a few days at the club and is very much new to the squad. However, we are desperate for him to start at number 10 at Bournemouth. Palmer certainly has an eye for goal and a rocket left foot inside!
Before moving to Chelsea, he scored two goals in three appearances for Manchester City this season and scored a superb finish for the England Under-21s. There are no faces in scoring form in the Blues dressing room at the moment, but Palmer looks confident and desperate to show his new club what he can do. Our message to Pochettino is to let off the handbrake by playing Palmer in the front quarter alongside Noni Madueke, Raheem Sterling and Nicolas Jackson.
