Diogo Jota scored for the 21-year-old Liverpool ace, who has never played under Klopp.
Liverpool star Diogo Jota has given his verdict on Ryan Gravenberch after watching him at the AXA Training Center in Kirkby recently. The Reds have been eyeing the Dutchman for a long, long time, but it took them a month until the previous transfer deadline to seal the deal. Gravenberch could now make his Liverpool debut tomorrow. Diogo Jota judges Liverpool’s Ryan Gravenberch
Liverpool had an eventful summer transfer window, didn’t they? The Reds made two good signings in Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai early in the window, but then suffered heartbreak when both Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia left them. Wataru Endo was brought on soon after, but Jurgen Klopp’s side finished the window in style with Bayern Munich’s Ryan Gravenberch. The Dutchman now has a few training sessions under his belt and Jota likes what he sees.
Asked how Gravenberch had settled, he told Liverpool’s official website: “I think it’s great.
“Obviously he has two very close friends, Dutch players, and there are three of them now, so they can help each other.
“Obviously I haven’t been with him and I’ve only been with him a few times, but you can already see the quality he brings [and] in his feet. I think he is the one who will help us.”
Ryan Gravenberch is an amazing talent and Liverpool were right to sign him. The Dutchman was one of the best players in the Eredivisie during his time at Ajax. His time at Bayern Munich hasn’t quite gone to plan, but he’s still only 21 and has the world ahead of him.
At Liverpool and under a manager like Klopp, Gravenberch could develop into a truly world-class player and his journey could begin this weekend. The Reds face Wolves tomorrow and we expect Gravenberch to make his debut.
