“Liverpool just finished a one-year contract” – shouted the expert about the newcomer
“Liverpool just got a one-year contract,” claims expert Szoboszlai
Liverpool have signed an incredible player who could be a “world destroyer” in Dominik Szoboszlai. That’s the opinion of former West Ham and Celtic striker Frank McAvennie, who has no doubts about joining RB Leipzig in the summer.
Szoboszlai, 22, has started all five of Liverpool’s Premier League games since signing for £60m and played a key role in Saturday’s 3-1 win against Wolves. The Hungary international fired Jurgen Klopp’s side ahead at Molineux in the second half after a blistering first-half display from the visitors and they eventually proved their worth.
“I didn’t expect him to be that good,” McAvennie told Football Insider. “What a player he is – big, athletic, big-footed, mobile, two-footed. He’s incredible, everything you want from a midfielder. “In fact, he’s so good he can play anywhere. Put him at center back and he’d probably be playing in a Rolls-Royce.
– I have not seen a better contract this summer in any club, in the Premier League or elsewhere. He is an absolute beast and should be huge for Liverpool for a long time. “They just finished a one-year deal.” Klopp has rotated his players in the new campaign, with Szoboszlai one of three players, along with Alisson and Andrew Robertson, to have featured in all five games so far. It’s a remarkable statistic for both his impact and the value he brings from his versatile midfield role.
