Jude Bellingham has a word for Dominik Szoboszlai after Liverpool’s goal
Dominik Szoboszlai scored for Liverpool as they beat Leicester City 3-1 in the Carabao Cup at Anfield – Jude Bellingham and Christopher Nkunku impressed.
Dominik Szoboszlai’s resounding start to his Liverpool career has not gone unnoticed.
The midfielder proved to be instant and perfect for Jürgen Klopp’s midfield. The 22-year-old took little time to prove his worth in this new-look Liverpool side and once again captured the imagination with a stunning Anfield strike against Leicester City to help the Reds progress in the Carabao Cup. Liverpool were forced to fight from the back, which has become somewhat routine this season, when the Foxes took a surprise lead in the third minute. Second half goals from Cody Gakpo, Szoboszlai and Diogo Jota secured the team a place in the fourth round and they were rewarded with a trip to Bournemouth. However, this game will always be best remembered for Szoboszlai’s superb finish. The goal didn’t just catch the attention of Liverpool fans either, as some famous names took to social media to show their appreciation for the club’s newest talisman. Szoboszlai was praised by many of her colleagues in her Instagram post, simply titled “BANG”. Among them was Real Madrid and England midfielder Jude Bellingham, who commented “Szobooo” with a rocket emoji.
Chelsea striker Christopher Nkunku wrote “Boom”, while another former RB Leipzig team-mate, Peter Gulacs, jokingly suggested that Szoboszlai give it a little more power. The comments included many of his Liverpool teammates, but most remained speechless, leaving a series of emojis to praise the midfielder. However, Alexis Mac Allister believes that matte teas are the reason for her recent performances.
The new signing encouraged Szoboszlai to “keep drinking”, encouraged by another Liverpool team-mate. Striker Darwin Nunez replied to the couple: “Whatever man you gave her, now she always has to drink haha”.
