‘I’d never take him away’: Pundit says £35m Liverpool player should play every minute for Reds
Mohamed Salah is a great footballer, but he has one negative quality that has come to the fore in recent years.
In fact, the Egyptian threw some punch on more than one occasion while plying his trade for Liverpool. In particular, the winger threw the toys away against Chelsea earlier this season when he was substituted late in the game, sparking debate about his behaviour.
Speaking on The Stand with Eamon Dunphy, John Giles discussed Salah’s attitude as he stepped up, and he says it’s actually a good thing. Claims he would never have sacked Salah if he was Liverpool manager. Never Under Salah
Giles spoke about the £35m winger and how Klopp should deal with him.
“Isn’t that a good sign? Who wants to leave? Honestly, I would never take him off. He’s always there, even if he doesn’t play well, he can win and that’s why he gets so upset when he has. been taken off. This is his temperament, this is what he believes and he believes in himself. He’s brilliant and as a professional you’ve got to love Salah,” Giles said. Keep him
Team rotation will always be a point of contention in this game, but we have to say Giles has a point. Even on his worst day, Salah can come up with things at any moment.
Fatigue is a factor, of course, but Salah is one of the best players on the planet and we can’t think of a time when we’ve seen him too tired to continue playing. Salah should be on the pitch for Liverpool at every opportunity and we can understand why the striker is frustrated when he goes down.
