Shocking! Six Liverpool players will miss Saturday’s Merseyside derby against Everton.

Liverpool could be without six starting players for Saturday’s big game against Everton.
After two Premier League games, the Reds return to Anfield this weekend. With their local rivals in town, Liverpool just need to bounce back.
It won’t be easy against Sean Dyche’s side, though, as the Toffees beat Bournemouth 3-0. And according to The Mirror, Liverpool’s job will be made slightly more difficult by the absence of half a dozen. Curtis Jones is still suspended and will definitely miss the game, while Thiago Alcantara and Caoimhin Kelleher are said to have no chance of playing.
Meanwhile, the trio of Cody Gakpo, Stefan Bajcetic and Andy Robertson are said to be “doubtful”.
However, Robertson’s name can be added to the “certain” pile. He might be gone for a long time. It is likely the fact that the full extent of his shoulder injury has not yet been determined. For Everton, they are probably in slightly better shape. However, Dyche could be missing four players from the squad. Dele Alli, Seamus Coleman, Andre Gomes and Idrissa Gana Gueye are said to be doubts.
Liverpool are half a dozen short for the derby
Of the six players mentioned here, there are a handful of potential starters. These are the injuries that could hurt Liverpool. Of course, Kelleher does not belong to that category and neither does Bajcetic – although he started and shone in this match last season.
However, the other four names could start in Liverpool under normal circumstances.
What is clear is that Robertson would have made that XI. The 29-year-old relishes opportunities like this and the team is worse off without him.
Jones’ importance to Klopp has also grown enormously and being a local boy might be in his favour. Thiago is still arguably the Reds’ best midfielder on paper.
And then there is Gakpo. The £44m signing scored his first Liverpool goal in last year’s Anfield derby and returned to the team before picking up an injury against Tottenham.
Klopp has hinted that Cody would be ready to play after the international break, so we wouldn’t rule out the Dutch just yet. As for the other five, we just have to win this one without them.
