If the media is anything to go by, the Merseysiders are now interested in another Leipzig player in Lois Openda. According to reporter Sacha Tavolier, Premier League clubs are making Openda “very hot” and Liverpool is one of them. In the current campaign, the Belgian has started 19 matches for Germany so far and scored 16 goals (13 goals and 3 assists). Last week, the unassuming striker scored a stunning strike in the Champions League defeat to European champions Manchester City. Tavolieri revealed in October that Man Utd were interested in landing the striker, who is currently valued at around €90m (£77m). At Anfield, Jürgen Klopp already has quality and depth in attack, with the likes of Darwin Nunez, Cody Gakpo and Diogo Jota proving effective in the No.9 / False No.9.
