Klopp names a Liverpool player who was really good and so important in Fulham win
Jurgen Klopp praised Wataru Endo’s strike after Liverpool’s 4-3 win over Fulham. Stuttgart’s summer signing came off the bench in the 83rd minute after Bobby De Cordova-Reid had put Fulham ahead just three minutes earlier. But the introduction proved decisive for the Reds when he scored the equalizer after four minutes. Trent Alexander-Arnold scored Liverpool’s winner minutes later to send Anfield into euphoria. Endo has had to be patient for opportunities since his arrival on Merseyside – especially in the Premier League. But Klopp was very impressed by the Japanese international and cameo. In his post-match press conference, Klopp told reporters: Wataru was so important; he came and it was very good, very good. Won decisive challenges, excellent pass and best goal. And then Trent makes it tight. Honestly, for some reason I didn’t see that ball go in, I must have spun at that point or whatever. I haven’t looked back on it, but they all [were] pretty special.
