Ryan Gravenberch was injured last weekend in the 0-0 draw against Manchester United with a hamstring injury. This means he is unlikely to be available for West Ham but could return to Arsenal. Assistant manager Lijnders said: “We thought there was really something there, he came on during the game and as soon as he came off you saw what it did to the team, he played really well. Especially against their man-marking sides. he is. playing incredibly well. But he’s had a scan and it’s just DOMS, which is fatigue, so that’s a really good thing. Hopefully he’ll train today, we’ll see where he’s at. Obviously we have to be careful because that’s a sign. So that’s good.” Lijnders added: If the player is tired and goes out, there are no muscle tears. There is nothing in the muscle, but the muscle is tired, but we must be careful. Hopefully he can train today, we have to judge that, but most of all he has to judge himself. I don’t see why he wouldn’t be available next week. Let’s see, the games are coming fast. Alexis MacAllister has missed the last three games after picking up a nasty knee injury in the 2-0 win against Sheffield United this month. Liverpool do not expect the midfielder to return to West Ham or Arsenal – and he may not play until the New Year. Lijnders added: Alexis is gone. He is a player we will miss. Sometimes it’s very fast, he plays very calm and we miss some guys. Wata (Endo) comes up, Ryan, Curtis (Jones), Harvey (Elliott), Dom (Szoboszlai). It goes into the new year. It may be possible and we play on January 1st so lets see. Diogo Jota has been ruled out of the last six matches due to a hamstring problem. Heand is back in training, but Liverpool may be wary given the nature of their return. Andy Robertson (shoulder), Thiago Alcantara (hip) and Stefan Bajcetic (calf) are unavailable, while Joel Matip may not play again this season as he needs surgery on a torn ACL.
