Tsimikas latest injury as LFC left-back receives hopeful news
Saturday 23 December 2023: Kostas Tsimikas of Liverpool is being treated for a broken collarbone during the FA Premier League match between Liverpool FC and Arsenal FC at Anfield. 28 December 2023 Kostas Tsimikas hopes the broken collarbone he suffered against Arsenal has not ended his season. The Greek suffered the injury after an unfortunate clash with manager Jurgen Klopp during the Reds’ 1-1 draw with Arsenal last week. Klopp said after the game: “Kos Tsimikas, his collarbone is definitely broken. “All the rest [with these injuries] we’ll have to see. A long time away, which is hard for us to swallow in Robbo’s situation. The timeline for recovery from such an injury is usually discussed in terms of months rather than weeks, fueling fears that Tsimikas might even have played his final game of the season. But This Is Anfield understands the defender is optimistic about his chances of featuring again this campaign.
