A young defensive back for Penn State is scheduled to log into the transfer site. King Mack, a defensive back in his sophomore year, is anticipated to sign with the portal, sources tell 247Sports.
Mack, a 2023 Class of 2023 top-100 prospect out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida’s St. Thomas Aquinas, signed a 2023 class contract with the King Mack.
He played in 13 games as a true freshman the previous season, putting him in position to be a factor in Penn State’s secondary coming out of the spring. Last year, he recorded one QB hurry and three tackles.
Penn State defensive back Jaylen Reed stated of Mack in spring, “King is doing a great job,” according to Lions247. Both on and off the field, he’s performing admirably. King will show the world when he enters the game this year. He will, in my opinion, have a fantastic opportunity to introduce the world to King Mack.”This spring, he’s been performing admirably on the field. He’s been covering ground and making plays. It will be finished, in my opinion, once he takes it on the field and showcases it to the world.”
Undergraduates have until Tuesday to notify their institutions of their plan to access the portal; however, compliance departments have 48 hours to review submissions, so undergrads will continue to access the site today and graduate transfers will continue to appear there until Friday.
