Middleton and Portis aided the Milwaukee Bucks in staying in the game with a 115-92 triumph over the Indiana Pacers in Game 5 – Sports Al Dente
Bobby Portis expressed regret to his teammates for his ejection from Game 4, a move that nearly resulted in the Milwaukee Bucks exiting the playoffs.
However, he redeemed himself by contributing significantly to the team’s continued presence in the playoffs.
Portis and Khris Middleton contributed 29 points each as the Bucks secured a 115-92 victory against the Indiana Pacers in Game 5 of their playoff matchup.
Despite this win, the Pacers maintain a 3-2 series lead, with Game 6 scheduled for Thursday in Indianapolis.
Portis is prepared for the test, anticipating some difficult cheers from the Pacers’ supporters. Milwaukee competed without Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard, both sidelined by injuries.
Antetokounmpo has been sidelined since April 9 with a calf strain, and Lillard sat out two games due to an Achilles tendon injury. Coach Doc Rivers is optimistic about their imminent return.
Portis played a big role in the Bucks’ win after being ejected early in Game 4. He had his best playoff game ever, scoring a lot and grabbing 10 rebounds.
Middleton also had a strong game, scoring over 25 points for the third straight game and contributing rebounds and assists.
The Bucks are attempting to recover from a 3-1 disadvantage, a feat they’ve never achieved before, while the Pacers hope to progress beyond the first round for the first time since 2014.
