Boston Celtics’ Joe Mazzulla Savagely Reacts to Charles Lee’s New Charlotte Hornets Job Ahead 2024-25: ‘Everybody Hates You’

Joe Mazzulla, the head coach of the Boston Celtics, had some words to say about Charles Lee, his assistant, who will sign a four-year contract to take over as head coach of the Charlotte Hornets the following season.
In response to a question concerning Charles Lee’s new position, Joe Mazzulla stated that, having served as an NBA assistant for ten years, he is proud of his colleague. But after complimenting Lee, Mazzulla said something caustic that made the reporters
“You are hated by all.” Adapt to it. You’re not the cute, shining toy anymore,” Mazzulla made a jest. Joe Mazzulla said, “The Boston Celtics intend to hire Charles Lee’s replacement from within,” taking the statement seriously. “With the framework that our gifted young men have, you just have to be as patient as you can, understanding that there is a method to how you try to go about achieving it.
Particularly when you wish to maintain the presence of as many individuals as possible. Thus, Mazzulla said, “you just have to go through that process.”
