The defensive lineman for the Dallas Cowboys, Micah Parsons, has extended his contract with Bleacher Report for a number of years. As part of the deal, he will continue to contribute to other sports and entertainment-related initiatives.
As part of the new agreement, Parsons will continue to host his program The Edge with Micah Parsons, which will begin its second season in August during the NFL preseason. He will also take on the role of president of B/R Gridiron, the digital sports publisher on NFL Sundays.
In 2023, Parsons and Bleacher Report first collaborated to introduce The Edge.
Parsons will work with the leadership of B/R Gridiron to create the content strategy for the portfolio, provide fresh programs and original material, and create items for its 2.5 million cross-platform fans.
The three-time Pro Bowler and two-time All-Pro Parsons stated, “Working with Bleacher Report on The Edge has given me the desire to want to share my view of the game even more.” “Being able to create something dynamic for fans alongside a content team like B/R Gridiron is a chance for me to flex different muscles than the ones I’m using each week on the field. Plus, it will just be fun.” Parsons will moderate the B/R Gridiron Draft Night Show.
Tyler Price, chief of content at Bleacher Report, stated, “Micah is well positioned to lead B/R Gridiron as a dominant voice on and off the field.” We can’t wait to see him interact with the B/R team more closely and support him in developing his platform off the field in a novel and interesting way.
