Curry was chosen by the Warriors as the seventh overall pick in the 2009 NBA draft. Curry is the older brother of current NBA player Stephen Curry and the son of former NBA player Dell Curry.

 

He played collegiate basketball for the Davidson Wildcats, where he set career scoring records for Davidson and the Southern Conference, helped the Wildcats advance to the Elite Eight in 2008, and was twice named Conference Player of the Year.

 

During his sophomore year, Curry also set the NCAA single-season record for three-pointers made (162).Curry led the Warriors to their first championship since 1975 and took home his first league MVP award in 2014–15.

 

The following year, he led the league in scoring while shooting better than 50–40–90, and he became the first player to be chosen MVP by a unanimous vote. In order to go to the 2016 NBA Finals, where they were defeated by the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 7, the Warriors that year shattered the record for the most wins in an NBA regular season (73).

 

After the Warriors defeated the Toronto Raptors in six games in the 2019 NBA Finals, Curry helped the team capture back-to-back titles in 2017 and 2018.

 

After struggling with injuries and missing the playoffs in 2020 and 2021, Curry defeated the Boston Celtics in the 2022 NBA Finals to win his fourth championship with the Warriors and his first MVP title. In that particular season, he surpassed Ray Allen to become the all-time leader in the NBA in three-pointers made.

 

 

In addition to his many other records, Curry is well-known for his effectiveness and three-point shooting. He has led the league in three-pointers made, setting a record eight times, and has the highest career free-throw percentage (91.0%) in NBA history. He eclipsed the NBA record for three-pointers made in a regular season in 2015 (286) and again in 2016 (402), having set the record in 2013 with 272.
