Jaylen Brown of the Boston Celtics will receive a $369,000 bonus for reaching the Eastern Conference finals this postseason. This bonus is one of the incentives included in his five-year, $304 million supermax contract extension with the Celtics last offseason.

Jaylen Brown of the Boston Celtics earns an average salary of $57.24 million based on his five-year, $304 million contract. Brown, 27, is expected to earn $49.35 million in the 2024-25 season, $53.29 million in 2025-26, $57.24 million in 2026-27, $61.19 million in 2027-28, and $65.14 million in 2028-29. The eight-year NBA veteran was not eligible for a no-trade clause since he had signed a contract extension.

Brown’s average yearly compensation is $57.24 million, despite being only projections based on the $141 million salary cap prediction for the 2024-25 season. According to ESPN’s Bobby Marks, Brown’s salary may reach $69.1 million in 2028-29.

Unless a new contract is agreed, the three-time All-Star will be an unrestricted free agency following the 2028-29 season. Brown’s contract is larger than the $276 million extension signed by three-time MVP Nikola Jokic with the Denver Nuggets. If Boston wins the NBA Finals, the 6-foot-6 guard may receive an additional prize. The Celtics have now made the playoffs in all eight of Brown’s seasons, including the NBA Finals in 2022 and six Eastern Conference finals appearances.

You know, we just had to keep making the correct plays and trusting them.”

The Cavs got off to a strong start in the first half, playing head to head with Boston. While behind by a few baskets in the second quarter, the Celtics rallied and finished the period with an 18-6 run to lead 58-52 at halftime. “It made us answer the bell,” Celtics coach Joe Mazzulla explained. “Protect your yard. The men did it. It’s a credit to them.
