Pittsburgh Steelers Roman Wilson: Pittsburgh Steelers practice squad linebacker Wilson was arrested for domestic assault on May 19, 2024, following an incident in which he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend in their Pittsburgh apartment.

The confrontation reportedly began over accusations of infidelity, leading to Wilson throwing his girlfriend to the ground and restraining her against her will.

Police responded to the scene after a 911 call from the victim. Wilson was charged with simple assault and booked into Allegheny County Jail. He was released on bail later the same day. In response to the arrest, the Steelers promptly released him from their practice squad.

Wilson, 24, had recently been elevated from the practice squad for three games, during which he primarily played on special teams.

The arrest and subsequent charges come as a significant setback for his NFL career.
