Dylan Brown has expressed his disappointment over the sacking of Brad Arthur as the Parramatta Eels’ coach, calling the decision “unfair” and emphasizing the significant contributions Arthur made to the team.
Brown highlighted Arthur’s dedication and the positive influence he had on the players, noting that he managed to bring the team to a grand final just two years ago.
Arthur was dismissed following a heavy loss to the Melbourne Storm during the Magic Round, which left the team struggling near the bottom of the ladder.
Despite this, many players, including Brown, felt that Arthur deserved more support given his track record and the challenges faced this season, such as key player injuries.
The decision to sack Arthur was part of a broader move by the Eels’ management to pursue high-profile coaching options like Wayne Bennett, who ultimately declined the offer to stay with the Rabbitohs.
