Naitasiri recognises the importance of enhancing its discipline and consistency as they gear up to face Nadroga in the final Inkk Mobile-sponsored Farebrother Trophy challenge match for the prestigious trophy this weekend.
Head coach Ilaitia Tuisese Jr has acknowledged the challenges posed by unfavourable weather, which limited training opportunities leading up to the match.
“The weather conditions have posed challenges for our training sessions this week, we are committed to finding alternative solutions and preparing ourselves for the tough battle that awaits us,” says Tuisese.
Given their previous encounter with Lautoka, where they received two yellow cards, Tuisese stresses the need to address disciplinary issues within the team.
“One area of focus for us will be improving our discipline.
“By the two yellow cards we received in our last match, this lack of discipline is something that we must address and rectify, as it can have a significant impact on our performance.
“Facing a champion team like Nadroga presents a formidable challenge, but our success will depend on the collective efforts of our team and players.
“The unwavering support of our fans, especially those who travel from the highlands to cheer us on, is a source of great motivation for us,” he adds.
“We are grateful for their incredible support and hope to see a strong turnout during the match.”
Naitasiri is scheduled to take on Nadroga at 3pm at Nausori’s Ratu Cakobau Park on Saturday.
