The Dallas Cowboys need to resolve several contract-related difficulties. Paying quarterback Dak Prescott, wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, and edge rusher Micah Parsons is a challenge for owner Jerry Jones.
They are all approaching the last year of their contracts. The Cowboys will be closely watched for any story involving them because they consider themselves to be “America’s Team.”
When it comes to contracts, some members of the media are beginning to become weary of hearing the same narrative over and over. Colin Cowherd of Fox Sports is one of those media people, and he is particularly sick of hearing about Dak Prescott’s contract predicament.
“You don’t have to constantly flaunt your wealth to everyone. It’s all wrong stuff, and it’s just exhausting. Cowherd recently stated on The Herd, “You don’t need to constantly flaunt it if you’ve got it.”
Among the wealthiest teams in sports are the Cowboys. Jerry Jones, the team’s owner, is an expert in team marketing and promotion. However, he may not have been as successful a general manager over the past 25 years.
Over the past three seasons, the Cowboys have won 12 games during the regular season, but they have only won one during the postseason.
Regardless of the highest salaries paid to the top players, the squad has not performed well enough. Players that perform well during the regular season but poorly during the crunch have made a lot of money. One such player is Dak Prescott.
