Announcement: Pending Decision On Caitlin Clark-Angel Reese WNBA Rematch finally Out!

ESPN Makes Major Decision On Caitlin Clark-Angel Reese WNBA Rematch

The WNBA rematch between Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark is already circled on the calendar of basketball fans across the country. Both rookies put on a show in their first matchup. It featured all the great pieces of a WNBA game: drama, rookies, vets, pregame outfits, and unexpected physicality.

Their last matchup is still at the top of headlines, mostly due to Clark’s physical altercation with Sky guard Chennedy Carter. Despite this issue, where Carter picked up a flagrant foul for shoving Clark, the game was phenomenal.

Clark and the Indiana Fever took the first match of the season series, defeating Chicago 71-70. Reese finished the game with eight points and 13 rebounds, while Clark notched 11 points and eight rebounds.

With the massive fandom of these two young stars and the viewership of their last contest turning heads, ESPN has made a decision on the next Fever versus Sky game.

It was originally set to air on NBA TV, but the June 23rd bout will now be featured on ESPN. The change of network also turns the game into a primetime slot at 4:00 EST on a Sunday.

All eyes will be on Clark and Reese in the next matchup, while some will use their peripheral vision on Carter. Reese is now in the hunt for a win against the Fever rookie, with Clark currently having the leg up.

Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark (22) checks back into the game in the first quarter against the New York Liberty at Barclays Center.
