Cowboys Gear Up for Historic 2024 Training Camp in Oxnard: Key Dates, Key Players, and High Stakes.

It was revealed when the Cowboys will have their training camp in 2024.

Texas’s Frisco The Dallas Cowboys and the rest of the NFL are getting closer than ever to training camp, and although the schedule for this year’s trip to Oxnard, California is still being finalized, the organization knows about when they anticipate everyone to show up and be counted.

Travel from Dallas to Oxnard is scheduled for July 22–23. Rookies and veterans must report on Wednesday, July 24. The Cowboys are hoping that All-Pro wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, who was **preparing nonetheless** due to his contract status, will be among those required to report. As of right now, the first practice time and date are TBD.

This is the longest California camp in the history of the team, since the players won’t leave Oxnard until August 22. They’ll play two away preseason games before heading back to North Texas for the preseason finale on Saturday, August 24, against the Los Angeles Chargers. Prior to their Sunday, August 11 matchup with the Los Angeles Rams, they will also scrimmage against the team. On Saturday, August 17, they will travel face the Las Vegas Raiders.

It goes without saying that this is one of the most significant training camps in Cowboys history, both in terms of the players’ contracts (head coach Mike McCarthy and several members of his coaching staff, such as Mike Zimmer, who is on a one-year deal) and the roster, which may include All-Pro quarterback Dak Prescott if a new contract cannot be reached before the regular season begins. Within the confines of the Collective Bargaining Agreement, Prescott and company ramped up their energy during the required minicamp, and it’s likely that this intensity will carry over to training camp.

McCarthy won’t accept anything less in 2024, when there will be so much at stake.
