Tolbert was selected in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft, although he has yet to establish himself in Dallas. According to Mark Heaney of Inside the Star, Tolbert may be replaced by youthful talent such as UDFA signing Ryan Flourney.

“Tolbert has had opportunities in his first two seasons, but he has not taken advantage of them to date. If this trend continues during the preseason, he should be considered for termination.

Heaney stated that Dallas might provide more snaps to rookie receivers like Jalen Brooks and Ryan Flournoy.

Tolbert has 24 receptions for 280 yards and two scores in his first 25 games of the past two seasons.  focusing on the Dallas Cowboys and San Francisco 49ers.
