Colin Castleton Signs With The Lakers Again On A Two-Way Deal.

Vice President of Basketball Operations and General Manager Rob Pelinka of the Los Angeles Lakers announced today that center Colin Castleton has been re-signed to a two-way contract. As a rookie in 2023–24, Castleton played in 16 games for the Lakers, scoring 1.5 points every 3.7 minutes on average. The 24-year-old played in 12 G League regular season games for the South Bay Lakers, making all of the starts. In 28.6 minutes, he averaged 14.1 points, 9.8 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.6 blocks. Nine of those games saw Castleton score in double figures, including three games with 20 points or more.

Castleton participated in 122 games (75 starts) over his five college seasons at the University of Florida (2020–23) and University of Michigan (2018–20), averaging 10.4 points, 5.6 rebounds, 1.2 assists, and 1.7 blocks in 20.9 minutes. During his final season with the Gators, the Florida native played in 26 games (all starts), averaging 16.0 points, 7.7 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 3.0 blocks in 31.2 minutes. This performance earned him a spot on the All-SEC First Team. With 3.0 blocks per game, the 2023 All-SEC Defensive Team pick led the SEC and finished third in the NCAA.
