The Fiji 7s team is primed for a monumental challenge as they prepare to face France in the Olympic Games final. Assistant coach and former Fiji 7s captain Setefano Cakau has emphasized that the team’s recent focus has been on fortifying their mental resilience, a crucial factor for their upcoming clash with the host nation in front of a roaring crowd of 70,000 at Stade de France.

 

 

 

Cakau highlighted that the experience of playing in such an intense atmosphere on Friday has been invaluable. The team got a taste of what to expect from the passionate French supporters and is now fully prepared to handle the pressure. According to Cakau, the past three months have been dedicated to building mental toughness, which he believes will be instrumental in their performance during the final.
