Fiji’s Osea Kolinisau Warns of Australia’s Rising Threat as Olympic Semis Approach
Fiji 7s coach Osea Kolinisau has highlighted the threat posed by Australia in their upcoming Olympic Games campaign.
He emphasizes the need for full vigilance, akin to the level of alertness they maintained during their quarter-final match against Ireland.
Recently, Australia visited Fiji for a series of matches. Despite this prior encounter, Kolinisau points out that the current Australian squad is markedly different and formidable.
The Australians are undefeated in Paris and recently overcame Argentina with a 22-14 victory in pool play.
Kolinisau acknowledges the improvements in the Australian team, noting that there are about five changes from the lineup they faced in Lautoka.
He plans to regroup with his team to analyze their performance and prepare thoroughly for the semi-final clash against Australia. The match is scheduled for 2 am tomorrow.
In the first semi-final, South Africa will compete against the host nation, France, at 1:30 am. The final is set to commence at 5:45 am.
Kolinisau’s focus will be on ensuring his team is in peak condition to face the challenge from the Australian side and make a strong push for the gold medal.
