Debutants Set to Shine as Fiji Water Flying Fijians Clash with Samoa in Thrilling Pacific Nations Cup Opener!

The Fiji Water Flying Fijians are set to kick off their Pacific Nations Cup campaign with an exciting match against Samoa at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva. In a highly anticipated lineup, the Flying Fijians will feature two debutants in their starting 15. Epeli Momo, a dynamic winger from the Fijian Drua, will start on the left wing, while Vuate Karawalevu has been chosen to play fullback.

Both players are poised to make a significant impact in their first appearance for the national team.

Adding to the excitement, Apisalome Vota is expected to earn his first Test cap off the bench, highlighting the depth and talent within the squad.

As predicted, Olympic Games silver medalists Iosefo Masi and Selesitino Ravutaumada return to the team, with Masi partnering with Inia Tabuavou in the midfield, and Frank Lomani and Caleb Muntz rounding out the backline.

In the forwards, Haereiti Hetet, captain Tevita Ikanivere, and Samuela Tawake form the starting front row, while Isoa Nasilasila and Temo Mayanavanua lock the scrum. The loose forwards—Meli Derenalagi, Kitione Salawa, and Elia Canakaivata—complete a formidable pack that promises to be a force against Samoa.

On the bench, the Fijians boast further strength with Mesulame Dolokoto, Peni Ravai, Eroni Mawi, Ratu Leone Rotuisolia, Albert Tuisue, and Isaiah Armstrong-Ravula ready to enter the fray.

The team had their captain’s run at Albert Park in Suva, finalizing preparations for what promises to be a thrilling contest. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 pm tomorrow at the HFC Bank Stadium, where the Flying Fijians will look to start their campaign with a strong performance against a tough Samoan side.
