JUST NOW: As the Broncos defeated the Eels 30-24, Trent Barrett chastised two Eels players for making “dumb” errors.

Sivo and Tuilagi are criticised by Trent Barrett for their “dumb” mistakes.

Coach Trent Barrett of the Parramatta Eels has called out and humiliated Maika Sivo and Kelma Tuilagi for their “dumb” errors on Friday night, which resulted in the Broncos’ 30-24 victory over them. The Eels, who had previously trailed 16-0 due to a series of expensive and inept errors, have now come one step closer to winning the wooden spoon.

The team is in danger of winning its fourth wooden spoon in 13 seasons despite qualifying for the NRL Grand Final in 2022 thanks to injuries to players like Junior Paulo, J’maine Hopgood, and Mitchell Moses.

Barrett, dissatisfied with the team’s performance, has called out and ridiculed Sivo and Tuilagi for their “dumb” errors that let their opponents re-enter the game. Barrett remarked after the game, “I would have taken that lead if you had said that to me before the game. The back end of the first half and the errors we made in the second half were poor.”

We should have scored and put them away there, but we missed the short side due to Maika’s drop and Reno’s (Adam Reynolds) intercept.

“Kelma is not charging. Within 10 meters, we do not charge the ball down. Thus, there are foolish things there that make us vulnerable to defeat. “And until we find out that, I can walk in there and give them a pat on the head for their effort and positive attitude, but they still need to learn that winning an NRL game requires more than that. We must acquire knowledge. “We need to finish strong; we have two weeks left and we want to win those two games.”
