With the end of the preseason, the Steelers will now focus on getting ready for the regular season. They have to decide on their 53-man roster before they can fully focus on Atlanta. This week, they will have several opportunities to improve their roster, but they will also need to make some difficult internal choices.
It’s always an anxious moment for the players at the bottom of the roster. Moving forward, Pittsburgh will need to make some significant decisions. While some people’s dreams may come to an end, others may see their true vision come to pass. Following their last encounter with the Lions, the guys on this list ought to have a reasonable expectation of being included on the Steelers roster. Though it was never in doubt, Cordarrelle Patterson’s job was guaranteed against Detroit.
