Upon Mike Zimmer’s hiring as the Dallas Cowboys’ new defensive coordinator this summer, many immediately questioned if the NFL had moved past his harsh, archaic methods of working with players.
Luckily for the Cowboys, Zimmer has not yet turned into a fossil. Zimmer appears to have changed since taking the helm as head coach of the Minnesota Vikings and moving to Dallas. He discussed his personality and took responsibility for the fact that he occasionally exhibited “grouchiness” when coaching. Zimmer gained recognition as a defensive coordinator and eventually as head coach thanks to his aggressive nature.
But Zimmer had to discover his tender side if he was going to return to football after a few seasons away from it. He is, after all, completing the gap.

The Washington Commanders’ current head coach was Dallas’s version of the goofy uncle who could make his defenders play easy and for each other. Quinn’s character shaped a defense that was in the top ten in most categories during his three-year stay in Dallas.
Fans were curious about if Zimmer had changed as the coordinator came into the picture and how he would get along with someone like All-Pro Micah Parsons, who grew to love Quinn and their bond.
Parsons and Zimmer have spent a lot of time together this offseason, sometimes over breakfast, talking and refining their strategy for the game, so that personality blending never seemed to be a problem.
Regarding his connection to the Cowboys DC Mike Zimmer: “I believe we are in sync. I believe I just needed to demonstrate to Mike my abilities. I think I have accomplished everything he predicted me to be and much more. “You say you want to do this and you want to do that, if you just do this detailed stuff you can be the best ever,” he added, approaching me. I believe that we have improved as a species.
Parsons was selected as an off-ball linebacker, but Quinn developed him into a top edge rusher who was particularly skilled at getting to the quarterback. This summer, Zimmer stated that he is aware of Parsons’ extraordinary talent and does not wish to

This year, the two men may support one another. Zimmer is the ideal coach for Parsons if he wants to enhance his already impressive resume and become an all-time great.
You will notice that I am always rushing. I feel as though there is not a side. I work for myself and own my own stuff. It will be exciting, I will say that much. I think I will portray every single role. Furthermore, I think that this is the first year that I may choose between a 2i, a 3, or a 4. It does not matter. I could play linebacker, slot, or, in some personnel, virtually safety, if you want to look at it that way.
The two men might help each other out this year. If Parsons wants to elevate his already stellar resume and establish himself as an all-time great, Zimmer is the perfect coach.
