Fiji Rugby 7s Team Rewarded $20K Each by Prime Minister Rabuka for Olympic Silver Triumph

 

 

The Coalition Government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka, has honored its commitment to reward the Fiji Rugby 7s team for their outstanding performance at the 2024 Paris Olympics, where they secured a silver medal. Each player will receive $20,000 as part of an incentive program announced in June, aimed at recognizing and supporting the nation’s athletes.

 

 

 

The Fiji Rugby Union confirmed that the funds have been received and will soon be transferred to the players’ accounts. This initiative not only celebrates the players’ hard work and success on the international stage but also underscores the government’s ongoing support for Fiji’s athletes.
