NEWSFLASH: Shooting Guard Makes NBA Push with Milwaukee Bucks after Achilles Injury

“Terence Davis Makes NBA Push with Milwaukee Bucks After Achilles Injury—Fights for Roster Spot in Crucial Preseason!”

Free agent shooting guard Terence Davis is set to join the Milwaukee Bucks on an Exhibit 10 contract, as reported by Eric Nehm of The Athletic. Davis, 27, is aiming for an NBA return after playing three games with the G League’s Rip City Remix last season, only to suffer a season-ending Achilles injury.

Prior to this, he worked out with the Bucks in August, showcasing his skills in hopes of making a roster spot.

Davis last played in the NBA during the 2022-23 season with the Sacramento Kings, where he averaged 6.7 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 1.0 assists in 64 games. He entered the NBA in 2019 as an undrafted free agent with the Toronto Raptors and was traded to the Kings in 2021. Known for providing scoring off the bench throughout his four seasons in the league, Davis has always been a solid role player, particularly with his ability to ignite offense in spurts.

However, despite signing with the Bucks, Davis faces stiff competition for a roster spot. Milwaukee already has 14 fully guaranteed contracts and rookie Andre Jackson with a partially guaranteed deal.

This leaves Davis with long odds of securing a position on the final roster. If he doesn’t make the team but spends at least 60 days with the Bucks’ G League affiliate, the Wisconsin Herd, Davis could still earn a bonus of up to $77.5K.

With the Bucks currently one player short of the 21-man offseason limit, they can sign Davis without making any corresponding roster moves.
