Fiji Bati Unleash Star-Studded Squad: Aiming for Glory in the 2024 Pacific Championships!

The Fiji Bati have officially announced their 21-man squad for the upcoming 2024 Pacific Championships, where they will face off against the Cook Islands and Papua New Guinea. This year’s roster is being hailed as one of the most formidable line-ups in the team’s history, featuring a blend of current and former NRL stars.

The Bati are poised to make a strong impression as they aim to secure the Pacific Bowl title and advance in the tournament.

The backline is packed with talent, showcasing two-time premiership winner Sunia Turuva alongside experienced NRL players like Maika Sivo and Waqa Blake, both of whom have participated in Grand Finals. Adding further depth are veterans Michael Jennings and Kevin Naiqama, both of whom bring a wealth of experience to the squad.

Jennings, a former representative for both Tonga and Australia, has had an illustrious career, playing 12 Tests for Tonga and seven for Australia, along with a staggering 307 NRL games. He is set to retire at the end of this season, making his inclusion in the Bati squad particularly significant.

In the forward pack, Viliame Kikau stands out as a key player, bringing his hard-hitting style and leadership to the team. He will be supported by club teammate Kitione Kautoga and rising star Jordan Miller from the Melbourne Storm, who is making waves in the league as a rookie with the Wests Tigers.

With such a talented and balanced roster, Fiji is looking to showcase their skills and determination in the Pacific Championships, aiming to leave a lasting mark on the tournament and demonstrate the strength of Fijian rugby league.
