Los Angeles Lakers rookie Bronny James marked a personal milestone on Sunday as he celebrated his 20th birthday. Naturally, LeBron James just had to send a shoutout to his son on Bronny’s special day.

LeBron took to Instagram to post a brief but heartfelt message for his eldest son now that Bronny has officially left his teenage years behind. The NBA’s all-time leading scorer decided to use the perfect photo, too, electing to post a snap from the father-and-son duo’s recent photo shoot for the Lakers.

“HBD young 🫅🏽! Love you 🤎” LeBron captioned his post while also tagging his son.

LeBron kept his message short and sweet but you just know that it was a heartfelt message from one extremely proud dad.

Bronny James made his preseason debut for the Lakers on Friday in what turned out to be a 124-107 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The former USC shooting guard struggled from the field, though, going just 1-of-6 on his attempts for two points. Bronny also added a rebound, an assist and three blocks in 16 minutes off the bench for LA.

The 6-foot-2 guard is expected to get some minutes on Sunday against the Phoenix Suns, and LeBron is reportedly going to play as well after sitting out Friday’s loss to Minnesota.

This could potentially be the first time the fans get to see LeBron and Bronny take the court together in a Lakers jersey.
