Jennings Dynasty: Cousins Set to Dominate Fiji’s Football and Rugby League Arenas

The Jennings family is making headlines across both football and rugby league, with their talents representing Fiji on the international stage.

Leroy Jennings, a defender for the Fiji Bula Boys, recently made his debut for the national football team, marking a proud moment for the family. Now, his cousin, Michael Jennings, is poised to make a similar impact, but in the world of rugby league.

Michael Jennings, a veteran center for the Sydney Roosters, has been named in the Fiji Bati squad for the upcoming Pacific Bowl Championship.

With nearly a decade of professional rugby league experience under his belt, including international appearances for both Tonga and Australia, Jennings is set to bring valuable expertise to the Fijian side.

For Jennings, the opportunity to play for Fiji holds deep significance, as it represents a reconnection with his Fijian heritage. “We’re back in Fiji, and my cousin debuted for the national football team recently,” Jennings said. “Now, I hope to have the chance to debut in rugby league. It’s a proud moment for our family.”

The Jennings family is excited to see its members excelling in different sports, all under the Fijian flag. Michael Jennings looks forward to continuing this legacy when the Fiji Bati face the PNG Kumuls this Saturday at HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
